Jose Velez“2011″- “2012″- It didn’t take long after purchasing his first set of Technics 1210′s, for Jose Velez’s phenomenal disc jockey talents to morph him into becoming a crowd favorite, repeatedly and consistently creating incredible energy with his intuitive, crafty and unique DJ-ing skills, always creating an intense story with his sets.

Jose began his career by displaying his talent at small local venues, but was quickly gained the attention of an Elite Event marketing company which catapulted him into the limelight of the Tri-State. Jose’s natural gift of spinning, coupled with his keen sense of music instantly create an electric, energy-charged atmosphere on the dance floor. He is a club sensation and is sought after by endless venues interested in “packing the house”. Although passionate about DJ-ing, Jose has also turned his attention to producing his own sound. Just one year after the launch of his own production company, Jose Velez was approached by Hosh Gureli and asked to remix Deborah Cox hit song, “Something Happened On The way To Heaven”.

Jose Velez’s future is very promising — he is destined for success and is touted the number one up and coming DJ in the tri-state. His performances include: opening for elite artists — Swedish House Mafia’s Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, & Axwell, Tiesto, DeadMau5, Ramon Tapia as well as local A-rated Jonathan Peters.

Jose Velez music is recognized by the elite in his field; namely, DJ Vibe, SuperChumbo and David Tort and has had four of his own productions picked for compilation releases by internationally-known DJ/producer, Sander Klienenberg and NYC’s well known elites—Mindcontrol and Chris Vargas.

Jose’s releases can be found on top tier record labels including Little Mountain Records, Nervous Records , Stereo Records (sub label Iberican Recordings), to name a few.
